Who moving and storage is actually for

Most people don’t need storage in the abstract — they need it because two dates on a calendar don’t line up. That’s who this service is built for.

The gap between move-out and move-in. Your lease ends the 28th, but the new place doesn’t hand over keys until the 5th. Rather than pay for a week of overlap on both ends, or cram everything into a relative’s spare room, we pick up on the 28th, hold your things climate-controlled, and deliver on the 5th. One crew handles both ends, so nothing gets lost in a handoff between your movers and a separate storage company.

Downsizing. Moving from a house to a smaller condo means some furniture doesn’t fit the new floor plan — yet. Maybe you’re deciding what to keep, maybe the next place is being furnished slowly. Storage lets you move once instead of making decisions about every dresser and bookshelf on move day itself.

Staging a home for sale. Half-empty rooms photograph and show better than cluttered ones. Move the excess furniture and boxes into storage before your listing photos go up, and get it back once the house sells and you’re heading to the next place.

Seasonal South Florida residents. If you split the year between here and somewhere colder, you don’t want to haul furniture back and forth every six months, and you don’t want it sitting in a hot, humid garage the whole time you’re gone. Climate-controlled storage keeps wood, upholstery, and electronics in the same condition you left them in — no warping, no mildew, no surprises when you unpack in November.

Why one company for both

The usual version of this involves two vendors: a moving company for the truck, and a separate storage facility for the unit. That means two contracts, two schedules to coordinate, and two companies to call if something’s unclear about where your inventory actually is.

We run it as one job. The crew that picks up your furniture is the same crew that inventories it going into storage and the same crew that delivers it when you call for redelivery. That’s fewer handoffs, and it’s one phone number — (728) 777-0206 — if you need to change a date.

What it costs

Moving is billed the same way every job here is billed: hourly, by crew size. $99/hr gets you a 2-mover crew (3-hour minimum), $149/hr steps up to 3 movers (3-hour minimum), $199/hr for 4 (4-hour minimum) — truck, fuel, the first 20 miles and all moving equipment included at every crew size. Blankets, dollies and straps are free; consumable packing materials like boxes and tape are itemized by actual usage. Storage itself is quoted separately based on volume and duration, since a few boxes for two weeks and a houseful of furniture for six months aren’t the same job. Call and describe what you’re storing and for how long — you’ll get a real number, not a placeholder rate pulled from a rate card that doesn’t match your situation.

If you’re not sure yet whether you need storage at all, that’s a normal place to start from. Tell us your move-out date and what you know about move-in, and we’ll tell you honestly whether storage makes sense or whether your timeline works without it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does storage cost?

It depends on how much you’re storing and for how long, so we don’t quote a flat monthly rate here. Call (728) 777-0206 and ask for a storage quote alongside your move — we’ll give you a real number based on your inventory, not a generic estimate.

Is the storage actually climate-controlled?

Yes. That matters most for wood furniture, mattresses, electronics, and anything with fabric — South Florida heat and humidity warp and mildew items in non-climate-controlled units fast. We don’t put your stuff in a hot garage-style unit.

How long can I store my things?

As short as a few days if you’re just bridging a closing-date gap, or as long as a full season if you’re a snowbird heading north. There’s no minimum or maximum we force you into — you set the timeline.

What if my move-in date changes after my stuff is already in storage?

That’s exactly what this service is built for. Call and adjust the redelivery date — we don’t charge a change fee for pushing it back or pulling it forward within reason.

Do I need to pack everything myself before storage?

No. Your crew wraps and boxes items during the pickup as part of the move, so you’re not separately prepping for storage on top of prepping for a move.
