Choose Your Crew Size

Not a luxury tier — a crew size. More movers means fewer hours, which is usually the cheaper way to move a bigger home. Tell us the size of your place on the quote call and we’ll say which one fits.

How Billing Works

Mileage, Hours & Access

Mileage

The first 20 miles are included. Additional mileage is $2.00 per mile, measured from your first pickup through the final delivery — including any stops you ask for along the way. Miles we drive before arriving or after finishing aren’t charged to you.

Hourly billing

The clock starts when the crew begins work at your first pickup and stops when the requested services are finished at your final destination. Loading, packing, driving between your locations, unloading and reassembly are all billable time. Travel to you and back to us is not.

No access fees

No separate charge for stairs, elevators or long carries. Access conditions — walk-ups, elevator windows, distant parking — can add time to the job, and that time bills at your regular hourly rate. Nothing appears as a surprise line item.

Packing & Unpacking

Our crew can pack all or part of your home at the same hourly rate as your move — there is no separate packing-labor rate. You pay for crew time plus the materials actually used, itemized on your invoice. Blankets, dollies, hand trucks and straps stay free.

Heavy & Specialty Items — From $75

Items that need special handling, extra manpower or extra equipment carry an additional charge based on weight, size, access and handling: safes, pianos, pool tables, marble / stone furniture, oversized furniture, large appliances, artwork & antiques, and other unusually heavy or fragile pieces.

Every specialty charge is quoted and agreed before your move — never added after.

Booking Your Date

Deposit & Rescheduling

$100 reservation deposit

A $100 deposit reserves your moving date and crew. It is applied toward your final moving bill — it is not an additional charge.

  • 48+ hours before the move: fully refundable.
  • Less than 48 hours: non-refundable.
  • Same-day cancellation or no-show: non-refundable.

Rescheduling

  • 48+ hours notice: free reschedule, subject to availability. Your deposit transfers to the new date.
  • Less than 48 hours: one complimentary reschedule may be allowed, subject to availability.
  • Additional late rescheduling may require a new $100 reservation deposit.

Valuation coverage

Standard released-value protection — $0.60 per pound per article, at no additional charge. Released value is a limitation of mover liability, not replacement-value insurance. Higher valuation, if offered, is a separate written agreement. We walk you through the valuation section of your contract before your move — see Licenses & Insurance for details.

Long-Distance Moves Are Quoted Separately

The hourly rates on this page cover local moves. Long-distance moves are quoted on their own — based on distance, inventory, the services you need, pickup and delivery locations, packing requirements and scheduling — so you get one written number instead of a running clock.

Pricing FAQ

How much do movers charge in Miami?

Local movers in Miami typically run $99–$199/hr depending on crew size. Next Haven Movers is $99/hr for 2 movers + truck, $149/hr for 3 movers, $199/hr for 4 movers — truck, fuel and the first 20 miles included at every crew size.

Is there an hour minimum?

Yes, and it is in your contract before you book: 3 hours on the 2-mover and 3-mover crews, 4 hours on the 4-mover crew. That works out to a $297, $447 or $796 labor minimum. Nothing about it is sprung on you at the end of the job.

Are packing materials included in the hourly rate?

No — and that is deliberate. Boxes, tape, bubble wrap and paper are charged only in the quantities actually used, itemized on your invoice, at the prices on our packing materials page. Packing labor itself is billed at your regular crew rate with no second packing-labor charge, and moving blankets, dollies, hand trucks and straps are always included at no charge.

Do you charge extra for stairs, elevators or long carries?

No separate fee for any of them. Stairs, elevator waits and long walks from the truck do take longer, and that time bills at your regular hourly rate — but there is no stair fee, elevator fee or long-carry fee line item on your invoice.

How does the deposit work?

A $100 reservation deposit holds your date and crew, and it is credited against your final bill — it is not an extra charge. Cancel 48 or more hours ahead and it is fully refundable. Cancel inside 48 hours, same day, or no-show and it is non-refundable.

How is a long-distance move priced?

Not hourly. Long-distance moves are quoted separately based on distance, inventory, services requested, pickup and delivery locations, packing needs and scheduling. You get a written custom quote before anything is booked.
